Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space
Gospels delivered by an ex-spaceman? Sure, why not, is there anything else one can embrace in outer space other than a superior, yet graceful, force?
Still, sometimes, the outer space can be located even within our bodies, as precious as we want them to be. Can you name another place where so many dead stars still insist on shining? Old loves, tattooed memories, psychedelic trips, words and rhythms, faces and touches, smells and old wounds, her kisses - all living inside us even long after they disappeared from sight.
Long story short, Jason Pierce sounds like a guy that felt all the feels.
As for me, I always felt that “Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space” is an album written by someone who found a God not for the chosen ones, nor the broken ones,
a
God for the blissful ones.
